Identity and branding: a brand recognized before it is read
We are a branding studio in Mexico City. We design brand identities —logo, visual system and guidelines— for businesses that want to look as good as what they make, and want that image to last.
What an identity is, and what it is not
A logo is a signature; the identity is the whole visual language of the brand. It is how your brand looks on a two-centimeter label and on a storefront, on a box that opens slowly and on a post someone sees for two seconds. When all of it speaks with one voice, people recognize your brand before they read its name.
That is why we don’t start by drawing. We start by understanding what your business needs to say, who it is talking to and what sets it apart from everyone else in its field. The design comes after that, and it comes with judgment.
What brand identity design includes
Every project is shaped to fit, but a complete identity usually brings together:
- Logo and its versions: primary, compact, and a symbol or emblem for small spaces.
- Visual system: color palette, typefaces, layout rules and the graphic language that travels with the brand.
- Brand guidelines: a clear document so your team, your printer or your agency can use the identity without diluting it.
- Applications: stationery, packaging, labels, signage or social media pieces, depending on what your business really needs.
- Final files ready to use, in the formats your printer, your website and your social channels ask for.
How we build an identity
Listen
A thorough conversation about your business, your audience, your competitors and what makes you different. If you already have a brand, we look at what is worth keeping.
Sketch
Sketches, words and tests. We explore several routes freely and present the ones that truly hold the idea, applied to real pieces of your business.
Sculpt
Once a route is chosen, we refine every detail: proportions, color, type and the rules of the system. We finish by delivering the guidelines and the files.
For brands with a point of view
We design for businesses built on craft: cocktail bars and hospitality, fashion, leather goods, coffee and products with an origin, professional services. Some are just starting and some have already grown, but they share one thing: they know what they make is good, and they want their image to prove it.
We work in English and Spanish with brands in Mexico, the United States and Spain. We work remotely, over video calls, with clear deliverables at every stage.
Identities from the studio
Our work shows how an identity travels from idea to application: an emblem born from the branding iron for artisan leather goods, a sun half sunk into the water for a signature cocktail bar, a mask that moves from the label to the storefront for streetwear with Mexican roots, and a golden geometric flower for high-altitude coffee and chocolate.
An identity is complete when it lives everywhere. When you need it, we carry it into a custom website, into content and campaigns or into an animated logo, with the same hand and the same judgment.
Frequently asked questions
How much does brand identity design cost?
It depends on the scope: a logo with its guidelines is not the same as an identity with packaging and a retail space. After a first conversation we send you a written proposal with scope, stages, dates and investment, with no fine print.
How long does it take?
It depends on the scope, the number of applications and how the reviews at each stage go. Before we begin, the dates for each stage are written into the proposal.
Can you redesign an existing brand?
Yes. Sometimes the answer is a new identity, and sometimes it is refining what already works. We decide together during the listening stage, looking at what your audience recognizes today.
What do I receive at the end?
The logo and its versions, the visual system, the brand guidelines and the final files in the formats your printer, website and social channels need, plus the applications agreed in the proposal.
Can I see the brand applied before deciding?
Yes. Each route is presented on real pieces of your business —a label, a storefront, a post— so you decide by seeing the brand in use, not in the abstract.
Do you work with brands outside Mexico?
Yes. We work remotely with brands across Mexico, the United States and Spain, in English or Spanish.
